I did manage to watch the Blindside, and all three movies in the Matrix trilogy, as well as complete the SquidFlicks 3.0 layout. I really don’t remember doing all that stuff, so it must have been the medication. Sunday was ok. I was still sore but the bleeding slowed a whole lot.

On Monday, Stephanie invited me over for lunch and a movie. We cooked some bowtie pasta, baked some brownies, then sat down and watched 2012. I thought the movie was ok but the afternoon was great!

Now, almost a week after the surgery, I am still sore. The four giant holes in the back of my mouth are constantly getting on my nerves. Food gets trapped, cold drinks cause it to sting, etc. I can’t wait for this to heal up completely. At least I won’t ever have to do this again!

All surgery sucks, period.

We watched The Forth Kind (review on SquidFlicks soon, but its by Patrick) and then ate at a nice and romantic little restaurant next door, Brandy’s. That movie was some kind of freaky, and we were the only two people in the theater. This one usher kept staring at us while standing in the doorway throughout the movie, which was also adding to the creep-o factor.

All in all it was an awesome night, and I hope to have another one soon!

I am almost better though. The doctor says my spleen is going down and that I can play in the final game of the season – Reidland at home. The fatigue may persist for a few weeks after though. I’m not looking forward to that. :-/

I think it’ll all work out – I luckily have three days full of field trips and I’ll have plenty of time after school and football. I just have to keep working and everything will be ok. I’m not looking forward to the football game this Friday though. That’s going to be ugly. Oh well.

After long and untold hours of planning, organizing, purchasing supplies, returning supplies, building, destroying, and rebuilding, my Eagle Scout service project is finally complete!

My project was to build a produce stand for The Shepherd’s Garden, a local Community garden that was created by my church, Trinity Episcopal. It took four weekends of work to complete the project, and it was amazing to see it all come together.

Now all I have to do is finish paperwork and have another couple of meetings with merit badge counselors and I’ll have my Eagle Scout sure enough. Finishing this project was both rewarding and relieving, that’s for sure!

Friday:
I started the day with no homework done from feeling terrible the night before. I woke up at 5:30 and managed to pull everything together. I still felt sick but not nearly as much as I did the two days before. Got criticized because I said I might not play in the football scrimmage that night. I ended up playing my heart out and beat the snot out of some kids from Greenfield. We lost the scrimmage 18-7, but I felt good making my enemies feel like jerks.

Saturday:
Began work on my Eagle Scout project, which is building a produce stand for our local community garden. It’s a big project and will take several weeks. I have to finish all my work before my 18th birthday, so I’m on a tight schedule. We finished work at 12:30, and got a lot done. Stephanie came over at 4 and we watched movies all evening. She also helped me sort through all sorts of stuff I’m getting rid of to make space in my room. I was horrified and enraged to discover that someone destroyed ALL of the work we had done in the garden that morning. I wasn’t sure who did it, but they were gonna get it if I ever found out. It was a great day otherwise.

Sunday (today):
I found out at church that one of the congregation that also happens to own the land thought that the city was doing unauthorized work on his land, and that was why he dismantled it. He graciously helped us redo all the work we lost, and I am sitting on go for the next stage of construction. I also practiced some driving, folded all of my tshirts in a space-saving manner for limited drawer space, and I made some dough from eBay sales. In another stroke of good fortune, I finally got my graphics card to work, completing my summer project and my new monster of a PC.

It’s making this week feel pretty crappy.

The only problem was sleep. I tried to sleep from 4AM to 9AM so I wouldn’t be so dang tired today, but there was so much noise, and the floor was so uncomfortable that I probably only ended up sleeping 2 hours at the most. Oh well. I slept from 11 to 5 and I am ready for the rest of the day. Then I’ll sleep some more, ha.

School is back in full force. BLUH! Also have a football scrimmage Friday, then first game of the season on the 21st. It’s gonna be crazy!

Jack called for rolls and no one else at the table knew it. All of a sudden, rolls slammed into the table, knocking everything over. It was almost like a scene in a war movie, with mortars or rockets or mines or grenades exploding all over the place. I happened to see a roll coming straight for the back of Stephanie’s head, and being a good date I told her to duck. The roll flew over her and landed right in my crotch. OWWWWWWWWWW. I don’t have to say anymore.

Today was pretty bluh though. I got to sit in on a bunch of court cases to finish up another merit badge, one of the last standing in my way to become an Eagle Scout. After lunch I didn’t get a chance to see Stephanie, and then football was a bust. A big thunderstorm came in town and wreaked havoc.

I guess this was so long because I was too tired to write yesterday. I am really liking my blog nowadays!

Tomorrow is going to be a good day – I can feel it!

I instructed my priest on how to update and work on the church website that I have recently completed work on, trinityfulton.org. That was pretty cool. I also practiced driving again today.

I mowed the lawn when I arrived home, and I need to read Light in August and complete a second essay on The Great Gatsby by Thursday, which is the first day of school! YAY! *cough* not *cough*

Tomorrow is going to be good though – I have another *date* with Stephanie!
