Well, I am writing this entry from my Blackberry while laying across two bus seats. Our first round football playoff game is tonight in Louisville, so we had to leave the school at 12 so we’ll be there on time.

I finally am able to play – my doctor cleared me to play last Friday! This could be a possible win, so I am really excited to be back. If not, it could be the last game of my entire career, and I want to go out in style. I’m leaving it all out there on that field.

Week full of trips, stress

Well, this is the last week until Fall Break and my 18th birthday celebration in the Bahamas. I am super excited for the break, but I have some big assignments in Spanish and Calculus due this week. I am working hard all this week to complete all my work with good grades so I can enter the break with nothing related to school on my mind!

I think it’ll all work out – I luckily have three days full of field trips and I’ll have plenty of time after school and football. I just have to keep working and everything will be ok. I’m not looking forward to the football game this Friday though. That’s going to be ugly. Oh well.

So the game against Murray didn’t go too well, but the team played with heart and never gave up. I got crushed by a big ‘ole fatty and my arm is killing me. I will be purple and sore all next week for sure. Here’s to next Friday – our rivalry game and our first victory of the season!

I’m headed to Chicago over the Labor Day weekend. I think it’ll be pretty fun. I didn’t get any homework over the weekend, so that was really nice. I wasn’t expecting that! Wish Steph could come but I’ve got next weekend to spend with her!

Well, it’s been a while since my last update. I apologize, it has been a pretty busy (as usual) week for me. I’m going to have a mini-rant on the football season so far. Enjoy. :-/

Last Friday was terrible. We got stomped in the football game against Lake County, 70-19. There was no defense and a general lack of dedication and heart that contributed to the loss. But that’s the past. It’s time to step up and turn this football season around. There are 9 games left and we can win every single one of them if we dedicated ourselves. As a leader on the team I will do my best to keep my team strong. I’m ready to bust some butt out there tomorrow night vs. Gleason. It’s our first home game, and everybody’s watching. Our backs are to the wall, and we have to escape with a win. Otherwise this may be the sign of a LONG 9 weeks to come.

Storms and Rolls

I would have to say that yesterday was one of the BEST days of my life, if not the best so far. I got to spend the day with Stephanie and then went to Lambert’s in Sikeston, MO. The only restaurant in the world that throws hot rolls at you. I found that out the hard way too.

Jack called for rolls and no one else at the table knew it. All of a sudden, rolls slammed into the table, knocking everything over. It was almost like a scene in a war movie, with mortars or rockets or mines or grenades exploding all over the place. I happened to see a roll coming straight for the back of Stephanie’s head, and being a good date I told her to duck. The roll flew over her and landed right in my crotch. OWWWWWWWWWW. I don’t have to say anymore.

Today was pretty bluh though. I got to sit in on a bunch of court cases to finish up another merit badge, one of the last standing in my way to become an Eagle Scout. After lunch I didn’t get a chance to see Stephanie, and then football was a bust. A big thunderstorm came in town and wreaked havoc.

I guess this was so long because I was too tired to write yesterday. I am really liking my blog nowadays!

Tomorrow is going to be a good day – I can feel it!

Good times

I had a pretty good day today – football practice at 9AM, and then I got to spend the entire afternoon with my awesome girlfriend. We finally finished the movie 7 Pounds together, and now I can rest in piece.

I need to explain – I have started the movie 9 times, and had it cut short for various reasons all 9 times. I am glad I got to finish that sucka of a movie!

Pretty chill day, next Thursday marks the first day of school, and I have full contact football practice all next week. I’m getting off to a running start!

Sore as Hell

Football practice has not been kind to me over the past couple of days – I have managed to pull my groin and now have to constantly stretch and prevent further injury! In addition, my legs are pretty tired. I feel like Frankenstein or something like him! Grahhhhh.

I am still trying to look up for the next three months. It’s going to be hard, but I have people supporting me on all sides. That helps more than I could ever put into words.

I’ve gotta go to practice now. Be good, ya hear?
