This was the term project for my Intro to ArcGIS class I took during the spring semester of 2014. I somehow ended up with a final grade of B when all of my scored work was in the A range. Very frustrating end to what was an enjoyable and productive class!
Of course, this is not a study on the scale of EPA accuracy, but it was an interesting visualization of:
- Coal fired power plants in the state of KY
- Their locations relative to major population centers and surface water
- The amount of pollution within a 10 mile and 25 mile radius around the plants
